“Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself. To melt
and be like a running brook that sings its melody to
the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and
give thanks for another day of loving”
-Khalil Gibran
Two siblings set off to Goa for a Christmas
holiday to visit their maternal aunt, Esther
whom they detest and only know through their
bitter teenage encounters. What was expected
to be the usual family reunion turns out to be
an eventful discovery of a new side of
themselves and seeing Goa with new lenses.
This leisurely week rolls out a feeling so
distinct and indescribable, perhaps words may
fall short, or not exist, or maybe
untranslatable! (just like Iktsuarpok)
Iktsuarpok is a story of unspoken emotions,
new friendships, burdened past, the passage of
time, shattered hope, and the re-imagination
of dreams. Come and experience the journey of
these siblings and their newfound friends in
Goa through words, said and unsaid in this
delicately-crafted experience.
