One night after an incomplete meet in a café, seven strangers fall asleep in the arms of nocturnal dreams. In the dreamlike state, the characters find themselves wrapped in mysterious world which is almost real. It is in this space that love manifest through their sub conscious mind transcending time and distance.

Shazia who is the epitome of pleasures, at one night to deceive her husband about her love affair with Mark creates a fake lover.

Maya, talks to Vincent in this night about their strange love story as Vincent cannot remember her even after spending several nights with her. She remains the unknown stranger to him and after this night he would separate from her never to remember again.

Rishabh has been married for two years. But there is something lurking within him that doesn’t let him sleep peacefully. One night he takes an adventure of painting to discover the reason for his sleeplessness.

Night of Love is a tale of dreams that are deceiving but loyal, sorrowful yet sweet narrated by the deities of darkness- Nyx (Night), Selena (Moon), Achyls (Misery) and Oneroi (Dreams) using verse, object theatre and physical theatre.

Night of Love is about seven characters that experience love over the course of a night. Set partly in a cafe, the play skips from the present century to timeless dimensions exploring the concept of love, death, unrequited love, unsaid desires, dreams and deceit across space and time.

Night of Love is surrealist theatre piece written and directed by Omkar Bhatkar, inspired by works of Vivant Denon and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Freud’s interpretation of Dreams. The play uses physical theatre, poetry, prose, object theatre and greek mythology.
